The President said: "Surely you can question my policies without questioning my faith," paused a few seconds then added "or for that matter, my citizenship." So, on the surface, aside from the dig at the so called 'birthers' (people who do not believe that he is a citizen, and is disqualified from the Presidency because he was not born in the USA) that was a very interesting statement. More importantly, it was an erroneous, albeit a clever statement. Scripture is quite clear that the mouth speaks the content of the heart (Matthew 12:34) , and Proverbs Chapter 23 verse 7 says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” ... So the fact is, that we MUST, once we see you policies, question your faith, Mr. President. Clever, but no pass...

An Open letter to Pastors, in particular, and Christians in general: Blessings to all. Now that the buildup of the last 6 months, and the euphoria of November 4 and 5 is over, it is perhaps time to start thinking about what an Obama Presidency truly means for us a people, but more importantly, as the Church. I have to address 2 things that keeps popping up re: this election... 1) Black people saying that I should vote for Sen. Obama 'because he's Black' and 2) Christians running the 'we have to be pragmatic' aka the 'lesser of two evils' argument. I even heard a sister say that she is angered by 'one issue Christians' I have even been told that it is time for 'pragmatism over faith' I am going to remove the faith issue from this discussion, because the reality is that we (People in general, Christians specifically) seem to forget that God is not democratic. God clearly is 'pro-free will' , and pro-decision' , but just as clearly gives us plenty of instruction on the choices and decisions we must make. I apologize dear reader, the next post was supposed to be one in which I explain why I find John S.McCain (JSM) completely unacceptable as a Presidential candidate. So, I have had a change of heart. I am officially back in the race for the Presidency of these United States. The two presumptive nominees sicken me to be honest, and I felt that the best way to help this country would be to run for office; the highest office in this land, and the most powerful elected office in the world. Initially, I had decided to withdraw due to a lack of support, but after a dear friend suggested my name on a Paltalk radio show, things took off. The groundswell has been incredible, and the buzz so great, that I have no choice but to re-enter the race, and do all that I can to serve the country that I love...
