Someday We'll All be Free

I had the honor of singing at the memorial of a friend recently... Al Stewart  was a man who touched many lives,  and left an indelible imprint on us all... He is, and will continue to be, greatly loved, and sorely missed.

(Not so) Random thoughts on Philippians 2:4-15

For me, this Passage in Philippians 2 continues to increase in meaning, better yet, increase in depth.
Philippians 2:4-15 (HCSB) 4 Everyone should look out not ⌊only⌋ for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus, (what was his attitude/mindset?) 6 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage. 7 Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, (He relinquished his sense of entitlement, and if anyone EVER had a the right to a sense of entitlement, it was Jesus) taking on the likeness of men. And when He had come as a man in His external form, 8 He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death— even to death on a cross. (His submission to the will of another, which was a mental and emotional thing, was manifested in his body, expressed as obedience) 9 For this reason God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, 10 s…
